Rev. Jay A. Ford
Rev. Jay A. Ford was born and raised in Southern California. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA., he received his Master of Divinity degree from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, and was ordained in 1982. His first parish was in Southern Wisconsin.
After serving as Associate Pastor at Hope Lutheran in Fresno, CA., he accepted the Call to be the Pastor of St. Andrew’s in 1994. In addition to serving St. Andrew’s, Pastor Ford serves the community by supporting the Lutheran pastors and clergy of the Peninsula. He is actively involved in ecumenical and multi-faith dialog groups, and has a passion for peace and justice, especially for the Holy Land where he visited in 2006.
Pastor Jay is married to Julie, is the father of two adult children, and has a beautiful little granddaughter. He enjoys singing, and playing the guitar and banjo. He is a ham radio operator (KI6MQD), is a trained member of CERT, San Mateo County’s "Community Emergency Response Team," holds a black belt in Hakko-Ryu Jujitsu, and is a practitioner of Centering Prayer.

Rev. Khader Khalilia, Assistant Pastor
Pastor Khader Khalilia was born in Beit Jala, Palestine, in 1981. After graduating from high school in 1999 he studied at Bethlehem Bible College, where he received his bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Education. In 2005, he was invited by the ELCA to come to the United States for theological study. While studying for his Masters in Divinity at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pastor Khader returned to New York intermittently to work for Salam Arabic Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, where he was ordained in January 2009.
Pastor Khader is currently continuing his education at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, and is particularly interested in the relationship between religion and politics, liberation theology, and interfaith relations. As part of the ELCA's "Peace not Walls" Bay Area chapter, he is committed to working towards justice and peace in the Middle East.
Pastor Khader also loves to play soccer and eat sushi.
