Worship at St. Andrew’s is both liturgical and uplifting. Different worship settings are used each week, utilizing the new Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal with its ten settings for liturgical worship, the With One Voice hymnal, the Hymnal Supplement 1991 and other appropriate resources.
Holy Communion is a part of every Sunday service. Worship is led by the pastors with the assistance of our student seminarian, lay readers, communion assistants and assisting ministers from among the membership of the congregation. Plus worship always includes a provocative Children’s Word (sermon), a favorite of both adults and children. We invite you to worship on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. We gather around God’s Word and Table to be fed by Christ through Proclamation and the Meal. Please consider yourself welcome!
Mission Bells is our adult and older youth handbell choir which accompanies hymns, plays anthems, accompanies the Choir, leads processionals, and plays for Caring Luncheon worship services. They rehearse on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
The Trio of Piano, Cello and Violin accomany many of our liturgies.
Baptisms, Weddings & Funerals
Baptisms
Baptisms of children and adults are a delight to the Church. However, since through baptism one becomes a member of the Church and the congregation, baptisms are only done where there is the expectation that participation in the Church is the intention. Baptisms are scheduled only after consultation with the pastor.
Weddings
Non-member weddings can be scheduled after consultation with the pastor, and include three mandatory pre-wedding sessions with the pastor in addition to a rehearsal and the wedding ceremony. Fees for facility use, wedding hostess, organist, and pastoral services are negotiated depending on need.
Funerals
Non-member funerals can be scheduled following consultation with the pastor. Pastoral services for non-member funerals on or off-site are possible depending on the pastor’s schedule and availability.
